String Workshop
A free event For young players

Calling all young string players!
(grades 2 - 5+ approx)
Join popular workshop leader Rachel Cooper for an exciting day of playing, musical fun and making new friends.
Draft timetable:
10.30 Arrival and sign in
10.45 – 11.30am Warm up and technique time
11.30 – 12.30pm Rehearsal one
12.30 – 1pm Mini masterclass
Lunch Break (please bring a packed lunch)
1.30 – 2.30pm Sectional rehearsals
Break
2.45 – 4pm Rehearsal in the hall and mini masterclass two
Break
4.15pm Family and friends arrive for sharing
4.30pm Sharing and performance for family and friends
Finish by 5pm
Important information:

Players need to be approximately grade two standard minimum to join the day.

There will be opportunities for a few players to take part in a friendly mini masterclass for soloists. There is no obligation to do this, but please let us know on the application form if you would like to be considered.

Rachel will send out music in advance to all participants so it would be helpful to have all applications by 10 June. If you have missed this deadline please e-mail Anna to check if spaces are still available.

The day is free to all participants thanks to a generous donation made in loving memory of Rhiannon, a former member of the Westmorland Youth Orchestra.
